First of all thank you for supporting the good work of which ever charity you support. Secondly keep up the good work! Hopefully this website will give you some inspiration to keep going or take your support to another level.

Volunteers are the bed rock that charities are built on. Without volunteers charities could not hope to survive for very long. Volunteers need to be supported and well organised. If you are volunteering you can help a charity by being reliably consistent. We can provide help and advice to volunteers by providing up-to-date information about volunteering rights and sign-posting to the relevant Governing Body who could help you.

If you work for a charity your whole life probably revolves around that charity. Remember sometimes  having a break can refresh your resolve and commitment. When you constantly work with out having a holiday you can find yourself doing pointless tasks that do not achieve anything even if you do them really well! So always ensure you take your holiday as it gives you a chance to examine what you actually do from an outside perspective.

Any one who has received help from a charitable organisations will know how essential charities are. If you are now in a position to do so why not give back some of the help that charity gave you?

If any body reading this doesn't already support a charity of some kind you can start now! It is never to late to start helping others. Contact us  if you are unsure about how to proceed and would like some advice. We can help you find a charity that suits you and inform you about what you need to know and how to make sure your money is being used wisely.

Just being a charity does not automatically make you ethical! Make sure you follow the necessary rules and use common sense when it comes to the work you do. Unfortunately over the last few years charities have had a lot of bad press from unethical behavior in regards to aggressive fundraising techniques. Setting guidelines of what is appropriate and what is not can help every one (including your volunteers) behave in an ethical manner.
